Transfer photos from iPhone to a Windows PC — no cable, no iCloud
Take it on your iPhone, download it in your Windows PC's browser. No need to log into your own accounts on a work PC.
Why it's harder than it should be
Windows' built-in Phone Link supports messages, calls and sending files on iPhone; viewing photos is Android-only (per Microsoft). Importing over a cable means installing an app on the PC and tapping "Trust" on the phone.
With PicPC
The first time, open picpc.vikbox.com in your PC's browser and scan the QR code with your iPhone. After that, every photo you take shows up on the PC, ready to download as the original.
On a work PC
Nothing gets installed on the PC — it runs in the browser. You don't sign into iCloud or any messaging account. Whether the site is reachable on your company's network depends on your company.
Good to know
- To view photos on your PC, keep PicPC open on your phone. If the screen turns off and the app sleeps, the connection drops.
- Photos are never stored on our server. They go straight from your phone to your PC, and only pass through the server when a direct connection isn't possible.
- No login, no sign-up, no cable, and nothing to install on the PC.
