Organize work and field photos by date and time, straight into PC folders
Photos group themselves by the day and time slot you took them, and on the PC those groups become folders. No dragging photos around, no making folders by hand.
The app groups by date and time
Open PicPC, allow photo access, and your photos are split by day and, within a day, grouped by photos taken close together, like "13:20 – 13:42 · 8 photos". Site A in the morning and site B in the afternoon end up in two separate groups on their own. It groups by the date and time a photo was taken — no AI, nothing else.
Save all on the PC, folders included
Open picpc.vikbox.com in your PC's browser and scan the QR code once to pair your phone. Click Save all and choose Folders by date, Folders by time or Photos only. Folders by time puts a time-slot folder inside each date folder, for example 2026-10-21 › 13-20~13-42 › IMG_0001.jpg (folder names can't contain ":", so 13:20 becomes 13-20). Every original is saved with a progress bar; if you stop, clicking Save all again skips what's already saved and carries on.
When you write the report
With a time-slot folder inside each date folder, "last Tuesday afternoon, site B" is just a folder name away. Need only a few? View them big on the PC and download those originals. In a browser that can't create folders, the date and time go at the start of each file name instead, like 2026-10-21_13-20~13-42_IMG_0001.jpg, in your Downloads folder. Use Chrome or Edge to get real folders.
Tidy the phone afterwards
Once the photos are on the PC, select the ones you no longer need on the phone and delete them in the app. The app asks first, then your phone confirms once more. Photos are never stored on our server; they go straight from your phone to your PC.
Good to know
- To view photos on your PC, keep PicPC open on your phone. If the screen turns off and the app sleeps, the connection drops.
- Photos are never stored on our server. They go straight from your phone to your PC, and only pass through the server when a direct connection isn't possible.
- No login, no sign-up, no cable, and nothing to install on the PC.
FAQ
Do I set the time slots myself?
No. Photos taken close together are grouped automatically. There's nothing to configure.
What do the folder names look like?
Date folders look like 2026-10-21 and time-slot folders like 13-20~13-42. A group taken at a single minute just gets that time, like 13-20.
Does AI sort my photos?
No. Grouping is by the date and time a photo was taken, nothing else.
Are the originals saved?
Yes. The originals are saved to your PC as they are, not resized or converted.
