PicPC

No USB. No messenger. Right on your PC.

What is PicPC?

PicPC is a free app that shows the photos on your phone in your PC's web browser right away. You don't have to find a cable or send photos to yourself through a messenger: the photos and videos on your phone open straight on the PC screen. Videos play as soon as you click them, and when you take a new photo on your phone, it appears on the PC screen too.

It's made for the everyday photos that pile up on a phone: your kids, family, trips and pets. Use it when you want to look through them on a bigger screen, keep them on your PC, or move them over before you switch phones or free up space. The app and the PC page are available in 11 languages.

How to use it

  1. Install the PicPC app on your phone.
  2. Open picpc.vikbox.com in the web browser on your PC. Nothing gets installed on the PC — Windows or Mac, the browser is all you need.
  3. The first time only, click “Register a phone”, point your phone's camera at the QR code that appears on the screen, and tap “Register”. From then on, click your registered phone on the PC and your photos appear right away.

That one QR scan is the only setup. There's no account to create and no cable to plug in. The next time you sit down at the same PC, open picpc.vikbox.com, click your phone, and your photos are there.

Grouped by date and time

Photos are split by the day you took them, and within each day they are grouped by time slot, like “13:20 – 13:42 · 8 photos”. There's nothing to set up: the groups come from the time each photo was taken, not from AI. So “that photo from this morning” is right there, without a long scroll through your camera roll.

On the PC you can pick just the photos you need and save them. Or click “Save all”, choose folders by year, month, date or time — or a single folder — and bring your phone's photos to the PC in one go. You can also set a date range and save only that period. While it runs you see the progress and the time remaining, and you can stop and pick up where you left off. Folders are created in Chrome or Edge; in other browsers the date and time go at the start of each file name instead.

Your photos are not stored on our server

Your photos are not stored on our server. Your phone connects directly to your PC, and only when a direct connection isn't possible do the photos pass through our server on the way. They open only on PCs you registered. There's no login and no sign-up.

To view photos on the PC, keep the PicPC app open on your phone. If the screen turns off and the app goes to sleep, the connection drops. To disconnect, click “Disconnect this PC” at the bottom of the PC page.

What the name means

PicPC puts together Pic (photos) and PC: the photos on your phone, on your PC, right away. In Korean the app is called 픽피시, sometimes written 픽피씨. On Google Play, look for “PicPC”.

Not related to PicPick or pixiv

The names look alike, but PicPC is a separate service. It is not related to pixiv, the illustration site, or PicPick, the screen-capture program. PicPC is an app for seeing the photos on your phone on your PC.
